Operations Manager
Stella has always had a passion for adventure, and is an experienced traveller and tour guide. Most of her independent travel was done (alas!) long before the era of organised gap year travel, and largely involved backpacking on her own.
Her first long trip to the developing world was to South America, where she spent the 3rd year of her language degree exploring Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru, followed later by 6 months in India and Nepal.
She then led several trips using public transport in South America, and eventually became an overland driver for Dragoman Expeditions, leading safari-type camping and hotel trips for several years in Africa, Asia and South America.
Stella has a good understanding of life on expedition and the challenges involved, and has first-hand experience of the planning, risk assessment, leadership and group dynamic skills needed to run a successful trip.
Stella now lives in West Sussex with her young family, and is looking forward to taking them on their first expedition!
