Leaders
The True Adventure Leaders are our most important asset. On expedition they ensure that the ethos is effectively delivered and each student is given opportunities for personal development, while at all times safety remains the leader's primary consideration. Our systems are designed to minimise the risk, but our leaders still need to be ready for the unexpected, where experience and the ability to make sound decisions is essential.
We pride ourselves on having first class leaders who are appointed well before an expedition in order to have the opportunity to get to know their teams.
To become a True Adventure Leader you will need to have the following minimum qualifications:
- Have previously led a successful school expedition
- Have gained a minimum of Summer ML assessment
- A current and appropriate first aid qualification
- A current CRB certificate
New leaders will have to pass an interview and practical assessment and will also be required to attend an assessment weekend.
If you want to become a True Adventure Leader please contact Sam at sam@true-adventure.co.uk or phone the office on 01730 812742.
