The Sherpa Heritage House

Three times Everest Summiteer and renowned leader and climber, Pertemba Sherpa has donated his own family home in order to try and conserve part of the almost vanished Sherpa traditions.
Built by his ancestors and located in Khumjung, Pertemba Sherpa's home is older than many local ancient monasteries and is unique among the villages of the Solu Khumbu, where the majority of Sherpa homes have been radically modernised.
Sir Chris Bonington commented on a True Adventure trek to support the Sherpa Heritage House, "This will be a great trek giving wonderful views of some of the World's highest peaks, culminating in a visit to the unique Sherpa Heritage House - donated by my old friend Pertemba to his community, to show how the Sherpas lived fifty years ago when I first visited Khumbu. This will be a very special and memorable experience for all."
