Libya is a vast country, the 4th largest in Africa, and is dominated by the Sahara desert which covers some 90% of the country's landmass. The main facets of expeditions to this vast country are trekking and culture, and it is not suited to teams who are seeking school or community projects.
The Libyan people are famous for their hospitality and teams will experience the cultural diversity of this ancient land. Greek and Roman ruins are dotted throughout this amazing desert country. Teams can trek in the awesome Jebel Acacus Massif and experience the Sahara and the life of a desert dweller.
For R & R there is an opportunity to visit the ancient Roman city of Leptis Magna, or teams may just want to experience the unique Arab way of life.
