Botswana
Botswana (formerly Bechuanaland) is a land locked country, with over 70% of its surface covered by the Kalahari Desert - home to the Bushman.
Although the country is relatively flat there are opportunities for trekking through game reserves or teams may wish to travel by canoe through the Okavango Delta. For those who want more challenging trekking, Botswana can be combined with Zambia.
Expedition members will be welcomed by the locals at projects with schools and communities which are available throughout the country.
